Field of activity

His research interests include optimization and machine learning techniques for the smart grids and big data analysis. His experience includes the design of statistical frameworks to assess the impact of communication impairments on the performance of distributed power loss minimization techniques. Moreover, he worked on the definition of optimized market models for the real time energy trade in the presence of small scale distributed energy producers. Recently, his interest shifted towards the design of deep-learning based models for the forecasting of multivariate time series and the design of reinforcement-learning based models for the optimal self-organization of small-scale and distributed energy producers’ operation.
