Field of activity
Rita Streblow is working on the interaction between buildings, system engineering and users to create improved indoor environments with an increased energy efficiency.
Rita Streblow studied building technology at the Technische Universität Berlin. After her studies, she worked as a research associate at the Hermann-Rietschel-Institute at the Technische Universität Berlin. In 2007, she joined the newly founded Institute for Energy Efficient Buildings and Indoor Climate at RWTH Aachen University as chief engineer. In 2011 she got her PhD from RWTH Aachen University. As PostDoc, she focused on energy concepts for buildings and city districts and deepened herself with a 6-month research stay in Japan in energy system optimization. Since December 2019 she has held besides her position at RWTH the professorship for " Digitale Vernetzung von Gebäuden, Energieversorgungsanlagen und Nutzenden” at the TU Berlin as part of the Einstein Center Digital Future.
